On the road for holidays Shall we stop in Pau?

You’re off on holiday to the Pyrenees or Spain… and the kids can’t stand the monotony of the motorway any more (and neither can you)! Then it’s time to take a break in Pau! A real break where everyone can breathe, where you can take the time to stretch your legs and your head, before getting back on the road for the final stretch before the finish. In one or two hours, you’ll have time to eat, breathe, relax and even take in some beautiful images! Trust us, you’ll love this break so much you’ll want to come back…

Getting to the heart of the matter

  1. The easiest way to park is in Place de Verdun, right next to the town centre, the château and the historictown centre… and it’s cheap! (€1.50 for half a day and €3 for a full day). Follow the signs!
  2. A bathroom break! There are two free public toilets on the Place de Verdun.
One on the north ring and the other on the south ring.
  3. To make sure you don’t waste any time and to get concise and precise advice, depending on what you want to do and how much time you have available, head for theTourist Office!
  4. Here we go for a 2-hour tour…

“When you leave the Tourist Office, you’re just a stone’s throw from the Château! Here’s a hint: you’re in Rue Henri IV!
