  • Grand Prix Hippique de Pau – Winter Meeting Season – Pont-Long racecourse in Pau (December to February)
  • Carnaval Biarnès: 4 days of artistic, cultural and festive festivities in the tradition of the Pyrenean carnival, with the judgment of Sent Pançard, responsible for all evils!
  • International tennis tournament: the Teréga Open Pau-Pyrénées welcomes players ranked 50 and above in the world.

March Spring is on its way

  • Coupe Internationale des Pyrénées de Canoë-Kayak: La PYCUP, the best kayakers compete for the cup at the Stade d’Eaux Vives and al Seü d’Urgell in Spain. It’s going to be a great show!

July August Summer cooling

  • Tour de France (12 and 13/7) : Stage finish Agen > Pau… A love story between the greatest cycling race and the capital of Béarn
  • L’Été à Pau (Summer in Pau ): From July 18 to August 3, l’Été à Pau returns for its 43rd edition with the same intention: to thrill the Théâtre de Verdure and the hearts of the people of Pau!
  • L’Été au ciné: Le Méliès cinema deploys its big screen in the gardens, so that the stars shine in the sky just like on the big screen. The program includes 18 screenings in 8 different locations. Bring your own folding seat, plaid and cushions to make yourself comfortable.
  • Henri IV, l’histoire d’un roi (Sound and light show at the Château de Pau – Free)
    An opportunity to rediscover the show created especially for the Château de Pau around the story of the king. Projections on the walls of the main courtyard illustrate the key moments in Henri IV’s life.

  • Un air de vacances: The street arts festival will surprise you: Acrobats, clowns… between strolls and shows, a unique and offbeat festival!
  • Grand Prix de Golf de Pau (August): A great way to discover Europe’s oldest golf course and take a spin on the green.
  • Emmaüs Festival (August): Around the Emmaüs Lescar-Pau village, concerts and conferences-debates on solidarity and alternative economic models. The festival is growing in size, with a quality program and a growing audience.

European Heritage Days (20 to 22/9) on the themes of “Heritage of routes, networks and connections” and “Maritime heritage”.

Les mystères de la cité – Lescar : Every two years, the medieval city of Lescar takes center stage with a fantastic medieval weekend: “Les Mystères de la Cité”. This entirely free event plunges you into the heart of the Middle Ages: come back in time to Lescar!

October Red vines

  • CCI***** (24 to 27/10): France’s only CCI 5*L welcomes the world’s best eventers for the final major event of the season, and for the first time the 4 Nations Horseball Tournament, featuring the national teams of England, Spain, Italy and France!
  • Festival Accè)s( – Electronic cultures and digital arts come together for this 24th edition, which continues to question the relationship between art and technology.
