Laughter, poetry, fantasy… and stars in your eyes. That’s the promise of*Un air de vacances*, the unmissable summer event that transforms the heart of Pau into an open-air stage. For three days, the streets of the city centre come alive with live performances, delighting young and old alike.

In Pau, entertainment is coming to town! 14–16 August 2026 Edition

For its tenth edition, Pau is set to come alive with street arts, featuring 9 companies, 9 shows, 19 performances… and a local farmers’ market in the heart of Parc Beaumont.

You’ll come across aquatic clowns, trapeze artists living life to the full, high-flying acrobats, funk dancers and heroes in the style of a James Bond meets Gaston Lagaffe. And when the stage falls silent, the party continues with music, alongside local producers, featuring Kombo Loco, DJ Pauline and a DJ set to keep the park dancing until the evening.

Every August, ‘Un air de vacances’ takes over the streets of Pau, which, for a few days, become the setting for a joyful and friendly festival featuring a succession of street performances, festive parades, zany musicians, aerial acrobatics and madcap clowning. A burlesque and poetic interlude in the heart of summer…

The programme

The programme, which is always rich and varied, is updated every year. This joyful event showcases street arts, circus, music and theatre.

Each edition delights audiences, who are treated to performances by both established artists and up-and-coming talents.

Accessible, electrifying and full of life, the ‘Un air de vacances’ festival is an invitation to curiosity, sharing and wonder. Settle down on a low wall, a bench or in the grass and simply let the magic happen…

All the shows are completely free and no booking is required.
They are suitable for all ages, with several formats particularly suited to children aged 6 and over.
