Kids will love it! Sports, games and activities

1. Exert yourself

  • To play the apprentice stuntman: Positive Park (Trampoline Park, Ninja Warrior Park, Kids Park and Laser Game), a real romp with modules, lanes Dunk space, combat beam or Jump Academy, a trampoline park and 12 other activities, including a mega ramp and a virtual reality area
  • To climb the walls: Bêta-Bloc and its 630 m2 of climbing surface, with or without rope and for all ages. We’ve even seen parents trying it out!
  • To play at being adventurous: Tèrra Aventura in Pau, Lescarand Bosdarros. A pair of trainers, a smartphone and go for it! A free, life-size treasure hunt based on riddles, ideal for discovering things while having fun.

2. All on the water

  • The Parc Aquasports in Pau offers all board sports (rafting, kayaking, hydrospeed tubbing or standup paddle). You don’t need any equipment, just a swimming costume and towel. And the icing on the cake is that it’s very close to the town centre, in the station area.
  • At the Pont d’Espagne whitewater base, the Pau Canoe Kayak Club Universitaire stands out with two formulas: self-guided hire or a descent with an instructor.
  • At Lac d’Aressy, boating is free after registration on pau.fr. Wherever you go, you’ll be sure to have fun and enjoy yourself!

3. Time for a snack!

  • Glaces Chez Georgio, the blue van (place de la Libération or Square Aragon),
  • Glaces Du Manchot at the blue and white striped Tuk Tuk (place Alfred de Vigny).
  • Constanti, ice creams, sorbets and pastries on Boulevard des Pyrénées or Place Reine Marguerite
  • Lait Pots d’Vaches
  • The “Cookies de la mort qui tue” from M. Laurent
  • The “Coucougnettes” by jam maker Francis Miot
  • The cheesecakes by La vache à deux têtes !

4. When it rains... or doesn't!

And yes, sometimes it rains in Pau, so we come up with ideas! But it also works on hot days…

5. Nature getaway

Hanging on to the branches

In Pau and Bosdarros, the Forêt des Vert’tiges and AventureParc, open in summer, offer more or less challenging tree courses. For the little ones, accompanied by parents, and the older ones.

A place for animals

  • In Lescar, Exotic Park: the largest leaf-cutting ant farm in Europe, around a hundred species of reptiles, birds and other mammals including Bennett’s Wallaby or the White-tufted Ouistiti. At the foot of the Pyrenees, at the Ferme équestre Lo Casau, Anne-Flore will take you on a horseback ride in the heart of nature, according to the age and level of riders.

6. A digital version of nature with Kidaia

Kidaia makes ecology child’s play!

Created in Pau, the Kidaia app invites young and old alike to explore eco-responsible actions in a fun way.

Interactive games, videos, quizzes, 360° virtual tours… Dive into the world of biodiversity, soft mobility, or natural heritage as a family, at home or out and about!

An original way of learning about ecology at a child’s level, developed in partnership with the Pau Béarn Pyrénées Urban Community.

To be discovered without moderation, even when it rains!
