Think you know Hamlet?? Four actors have decided to start all over from
the beginning and throw everything off the rails. For a little over an hour, they take on
Shakespeare’s masterpiece and put it through the wringer of burlesque, clowning,
musical parody, and theater. The crown, the ghost, the great duel, the famous soliloquy.
Nothing is spared; everything is reenacted, subverted, and sung with infectious joy.
It’s funny, it’s rhythmic, it’s absurd. And then, on the fringes of the farce, a
discreet presence waits for its turn. That of a character we’ve always watched
die without ever listening to her—Ophelia—and with her, the true story of the one
whom no one had yet allowed to speak.
