Brad Mehldau is one of the leading figures in contemporary jazz piano, renowned for his refined harmonic language and his ability to blend jazz, classical music, and pop. Born in 1970, he made his mark in the 1990s, notably as part of a trio with Larry Grenadier and Jorge Rossy, before collaborating with leading artists such as Joshua Redman, Pat Metheny, Anne Sofie von Otter, and Mark Guiliana. His work has been recognized with several Grammy Award nominations and numerous international critical accolades. An introspective yet virtuosic pianist, he constantly explores new forms, as evidenced by his original works such as the suite *April 2020*. With *Quatorze R%EAveries*, he continues his meditative approach, blending improvised composition with classical structure, reaffirming his status as a global leader in contemporary piano music.
