In the heart of Pau, the Musée des Beaux-Arts presents the exhibition L?art au service des travailleurs from May 29 to September 27, 2026. Produced in conjunction with the Musée d?Orsay as part of the "100 ?uvres qui racontent le travail? initiative, the exhibition brings together paintings, sculptures, drawings and photographs focusing on representations of the working world and the social realities of work.
Exceptional loans include "Repasseuses" by Edgar Degas, the bas-relief "Puddleurs au four" by Constantin Meunier and two photographs by Félix Thiollier. Contemporary works by Sammy Baloji and Laurent Proux complete this exhibition, which combines social views, women's work, workers' struggles and contemporary visions of society at work.
