LOTHAR ILLMANN
Between Dots and Silences
This exhibition was born out of a quest: to discover everything that black and white can reveal, without ever needing color.
Dot by dot, each work comes to life. The tiny dots draw closer, scatter, come together, and gradually become an image, a gaze, an emotion.
Between shadow and light, forms emerge, as if they were gradually revealed over time.
For me, pointillism is much more than an artistic technique. It’s a way of seeing things differently, of slowing down, of taking the time to observe, and of letting each dot find its place.
Because sometimes, all it takes is a multitude of tiny dots to bring light to life, tell a story, and transform a moment into something that endures.
