This meticulously crafted ballet brings the myth of Prometheus to life in a choreographic fable characterized by a crystalline aesthetic. An explosive dance performed by fourteen magnetic dancers who literally set the stage ablaze! Currently the director of dance at the Opéra Grand Avignon and the future successor to Thierry Malandain as director of the Ballet de Biarritz, Martin Harriague evokes emotion through flamboyant and joyful dance. Following his creation *America*, which targeted the abuses of power by Donald Trump, he now presents *Prometheus*, who dared to steal fire from the gods to give it to mankind. The choreographer draws on *The Creatures of Prometheus*, Beethoven’s only ballet, whose score is reimagined here by composer Fabien Cali.
