WORKSHOP + JAM
Contact Improvisation is a dance practice that is difficult to confine to a single definition. It is discovered first and foremost through experience.
More than just a simple point of contact between two dancers, it opens up a space for physical dialogue where the sharing of
weight, the exploration of movement, the awareness of touch, and the perception of space intertwine. Through improvisation, the bodies connect and work together with the physical forces at play:
gravity, momentum, balance, and imbalance. This practice cultivates a deep capacity for listening, both to oneself and to others.
It invites us to learn to support, to be supported, to trust, and to embrace the unexpected in movement.
