Gourmet Passes Sample the flavours of Pau

Discover Pau’s culinary delights
Food lovers, we’ve got you covered with our Gourmet Passes. Whether you prefer savoury or sweet – or both – you’ll be able to sample the very best that Pau’s gastronomy has to offer whilst discovering the lovely city of Pau, its way of life and its warm hospitality. Our local artisans and shopkeepers welcome you with open arms to introduce you to the flavours of their locally sourced, short-supply-chain produce. It’s sure to make your mouth water!

Food lovers and gourmets Your key

Pau is a paradise for foodies and those with a sweet tooth. In partnership with local artisans and shopkeepers, we’ve created the Pass Gourmands, just for you:

  • Light appetite: 5 tastings (€8)
  • Big appetite: 10 tastings (€15)

A gastronomic stroll through Pau! You’ll sample local produce, sourced directly from local artisans and shopkeepers who love to share the very best that Pau has to offer. No full meals, just little treats scattered here and there, which will leave you wanting to come back for more!

A quick snog in Pau A journey of taste

The hardest part: choosing from among the 25 artisans and shopkeepers taking part in the initiative! A coffee at Pau’s Café, the coffee roaster, or a cheeky treat at Francis Miot; a lovely slice of Amandine’s Ossau Iraty cheese from the Crèmerie d’Ossau; or a ‘Cookie de la Mort qui tue’?

This culinary stroll will take you from the high streets to the market stalls at Les Halles. It’s an original way to discover Pau and meet people who are passionate about what they do. They’ll tell you all about their products, their stories and their local area better than anyone else. You’ll leave feeling enriched and laden with a few treats to enjoy at home, as well as some great places to share with others!

As for the wines

Wine lovers, we’ve thought of you too. Our wine merchants, who are passionate about fine wines, will be delighted to help you discover the wonderful wines of our region.

Meet our experts who source the finest estates, and you’ll enjoy our sweet or dry Jurançon, Madiran, Pacherenc… and much more besides!

“I buy a Pass every year when I come to Pau to attend conferences.
It’s a ‘clever’ way to explore the city, which has the advantage of letting you experience local life and meet new people.”

Odile, conference delegate
