In Lescar, "Eauzons" welcomes you for 45-minute guided tours to explore the aquaponic farm. An aquaponic farm involves raising trout in tanks, and the water from those tanks is then reused to grow vegetables. These vegetables benefit from the nutrients the fish release into the water. After a while, this water is returned to the fish tanks to be enriched once again—an endless recycling cycle! The team will take you from the trout farm to the vegetable production farm, ending with a tour of the processing lab and the shop, where you’ll find the following for sale: fresh or smoked trout, salads, herbs, preserves, etc... A unique and informative tour!
