The incredible story of 11-year-old Michael, who set out on a round-the-world sailing trip with his parents, before a terrible storm swept him overboard along with his dog, Stella. Stranded on a deserted island, how can they survive? A mysterious stranger then comes to their rescue, offering them food and drink. It’s Kensuke, a former Japanese soldier who has been living alone on the island with his orangutan friends since the war.
