Description
7:15 pm CRR Jazz Preview (New One Combo)
Charismatic leaders, tried and tested in all adventures on musical terrain open to the world, companions of the most important contemporary creators, trumpeter Paolo Fresu, with his unique sound and intense, poetic lyricism, pianist Omar Sosa, a veritable choreographer of keyboards, and percussionist Trilok Gurtu, who has worked with John McLaughlin, Neneh Cherry, Jan Garbarek and Pat Metheny, combine their Sardinian, Cuban-African and Indian roots.
The almost telepathic complicity of this fascinating trio gives rise to a cross-border dialogue. A music of decompartmentalization, jazz speaks to the body as much as to the soul, drawing on the sources of world music. A concert by one of the rarest and most exciting formations on the current scene, not to be missed under any circumstances.
