Description
With GIS?AILES, the famous Romantic ballet is reinvented as a contemporary creation.
Here, the heroines are no longer fragile or doomed: they move forward, standing tall, with strength and courage.
They don't seek to escape madness, but to cross it and transform it. They are no longer lost souls, but bodies that soar, carried by intense music. Each carries her wounds like invisible wings, ready to unfurl
ready to unfurl. Betrayed love gives way to a new bond: not romantic, but collective, supportive and restorative.
In an uncluttered space, every movement seeks flight, every imbalance becomes momentum, every silence a held-back emotion. The choreography plays with the weight of the ground and the call of the air, with the limits of the body and the desire to break free.
Choreography: Jean-Philippe Dury
Music: original collage of themes by Adolphe Adam
