The Universitätsmusik Göttingen (Germany) comes to Pau with a musical project, presenting Max Bruch?s oratorio "Das Lied von der Glocke" (The Song of the Bell), inspired by Friedrich Schiller?s famous poem. The work combines choir, soloists and orchestra in a musical reflection on human life. The work is performed by a choir of around 65 singers and an orchestra of around 50 musicians, students of the Georg-August-Universität Göttingen. The ensemble is completed by members of the Orchestre de l?Université de Pau. The concert is part of a Franco-German cooperation project between the Universitätsmusik Göttingen, the City of Pau, the Heinrich Mann Institute and the Université de Pau et des Pays de l?Adour, as part of the twinning arrangement.
