Big stadiums for big clubs!

Pau is a sporting town, with 5 of the city’s top teams regularly competing at national and even international level. But what would a team be without its supporters and a stadium, a modern-day arena? Our entire region vibrates to the sound of its sports fans. Basketball, rugby, football, handball, pelota, jeu de Paume, horse-riding and even kayaking are just some of the exhilarating encounters that take place all year round! One sport, one place, one team!

1. The Palais des Sports Temple of basketball

The Palais des Sports seats over 7,000 people for basketball, handball and volleyball matches.

This stadium, with its modern, functional architecture, is the beating heart ofÉlan Béarnais Pau-Lacq-Orthez (an alliance between the orthézien basketball club and the town of Pau), one of the “mythical stadiums of the Pro A” according to the sports newspaper l’Équipe. Our basketball club began its adventure in 1931, became French champions in 1992 and continues to excel at professional level.

  • Bus: Idélis – Line 5 Monday to Saturday –“Pau-Zénith” stop
    If you’re coming back from a match, take line F (late), leaving from the“Catherine de Bourbon” stop.

2. Le Hameau stadium Ici l'Ovalie

With its 14,000 seats, it was the stadium for the 2019 Six Nations Cup, the France-New Zealand women’s rugby match and the summer stages of the Supersevens (rugby 7s) in 2022 and 2023. Section Paloise is also based here.

  • Bus: Idélis – Free shuttle every 15 minutes on match days; 2 hours before and after matches(Ovaligne circuits A and B).
    Alternatively, line T2 – Monday to Saturday, stop ” Pau stades du Hameau ” and line D on Sundays.
    Tip: If you’re coming home from a match, take the Ovaligne, which runs late.
  • Car: Parking is reserved for holders of a parking pass. A car park can be booked online for €12 per match. Disabled parking spaces in front of the stadium reserved for holders of a “Disabled parking” badge and CMI.
  • Two-wheelers: Parking via Boulevard de l’Aviation or Chemin de Bernadou
  • On-site catering: The bodegas are open on match days, 2 hours before and after matches.

3. Sporting d'Este A history of handball

If you love handball, come to Billère to the Sporting d’Este. Its 1,500 seats are home to supporters of Billère Pau Pyrénées Handball, one of France’s oldest clubs, which has been shining at professional level for over 20 seasons.

  • Bus: Idélis – Lines 8 stop“Château d’Este” and T4 – Stop“Bois d’Amour“.
    Tip: For late returns, remember to book your transport with Idélis on request.
  • Car: 50 spaces in the adjoining car park

4. Nouste camp For the round ball

Since 2018, Nouste Camp has been Pau Football Club‘s stadium.

With its top-level facilities, it is a delight for teams, referees and supporters alike.

  • Bus: Idelis – Line T2 – Monday to Saturday, stop “Pau stades du Hameau” and line D on Sundays. It runs every 15 minutes. This line serves the towns of Lons, Billère and Pau city centre.
  • Car: Nouste Camp car park – Car pooling available with StadiumGo
  • Two wheels: A free, supervised bicycle garage is located in front of the stadium’s main entrance.
  • On-site catering: Two catering outlets are located inside the stadium.
  • Accessible to people with reduced mobility – PRM parking in the main Nouste Camp car park, accessible via Boulevard de l’Aviation

    5. Aquasports Park White water sports

    On the edge of the Gave de Pau, the Aquasports park hosts major whitewater sports competitions (kayaking, rafting, etc.). It offers 5,000 m2 of water and a white-water competition course with an adjustable flow adapted to the level of participants.
