Laughter, poetry, fantasy… and stars in your eyes. That’s the promise of Un air de vacances, the not-to-be-missed summer event that transforms the heart of Pau into an open-air stage. For three days, the streets of the city centre vibrate to the rhythm of live shows, to the delight of young and old alike.

Every summer in August, Un air de vacances takes over the streets of Pau, which for a few days become the playground for a joyous and convivial event featuring a succession of street shows, festive strolls, zany musicians, aerial acrobatics and crazy clowning. A burlesque and poetic interlude in the heart of summer…

2025 Edition 14 to 16 August

For its ninth year, Pau is set to vibrate to the rhythm of the street arts, with 9 companies, 9 shows, 19 performances… and 3 spectacular strolls in the heart of the city.

Expect to come across a brigade as funny as they are improbable, half firemen half policemen, on a totally zany mission. Look up: three women hover, suspended from their smooth ropes, in perfect aerial complicity. Higher still, two poetic clowns take off on a flying bicycle, heading for the Moon. On the ground, a tribal bicycle, inspired by the spirits of nature, connects with the elements.

And when land gives way to water, it’s aboard a curious floating vessel that we set off in search of the very last drop of water. Then it’s time for some aquatic madness with a musical and circus comedy… in a bathroom!

A whirlwind of humour, emotion and surprises, to be enjoyed with family and friends without moderation!
