Exotic Park A zoo in Lescar

In Lescar, after visiting the Cathedral and its mosaic, change the era and give the children a treat. In its green setting by the lake, Exotic Park takes you on a journey into nature.

Here, an immense vivarium is home to all the little flying and crawling creatures… that scare or delight us. Butterflies, spiders and insects perform an incessant ballet as you get to know them better.

Chameleons, turtles and snakes will hold their fascination for children, and most likely for adults too: will you be able to keep your cool like the inhabitants of the tropical greenhouse?

Birds – parrots, flamingos and pheasants – display their flamboyant or discreet colors in a natural habitat where they are safe and calm.

And you’ll never feel so close to the park’s mammals, exotic or more common, monkeys and meerkats, goats and rabbits, wallabies and llamas!

Close to the animals

What could be more fascinating for children than to get up close and personal with animals? During your visit, they’ll be able to cuddle goats and rabbits, but if they’re really keen, the park offers a “graine de soigneur” program for 6-14 year-olds. On Wednesday afternoons with an animal keeper, children go through the looking glass and discover how animals are cared for and fed… Book in advance and treat your children to a moment of pure delight!

In 2024, the zoo welcomed a number of new residents, including meerkats and, above all, Nessis, France’s largest female green anaconda! At 10 kg and 6 m long, this is one lady you don’t mess with!
