The Rythmapau choir offers a choral and musical concert dedicated to Africa, seen not as an elsewhere, but as a living, shared memory. Through sacred chants, traditional songs and contemporary African music, the program highlights the richness of voices, stories and rhythms that cross cultures and generations.
The concert is directed by Mirtha Alcaraz-Dahhani, choirmaster, and accompanied by the musicians of the Thinking Jazz Trio: Carlos Quieroz (bass and percussion), Frédéric Piau (saxophone) and Laurent Minel (percussion and vocals). Storyteller and musician Asma Ahmed also joins the evening, guiding the audience through the spoken word, griot-like, to echo stories, memories and transmissions.
An evening under the banner of transmission, listening and universal love, carried by the power of voices
