On the folder that preserves the text is the title: La tentacion deugran St Antòni. The text, however, is in French, with some passages entirely or partially in Occitan. In the guise of a lame epic (eleven songs), the poem presents itself as a hallucinatory and partly autobiographical account of a series of temptations - to stop believing, to commit suicide, to give up writing - experienced by a subject against the backdrop of the historical catastrophes of the 20th century.
