Thérèze Parrieus exhibits new watercolors at the Danser sous la plume bookshop/café, a stone's throw from the Château de Pau, from February 01 to February 28, 2026.
This series of watercolors focuses on landscape through forests.
Real landscapes or represented landscapes, questions abound, and so do pictorial answers. Landscape is space and presence; it is external, placed before our eyes, at a distance from us, but it is not fixed. Our own movements and perceptions change the way we look at it. It is never quite the same or quite different.
This inconstancy of the landscape, subject to our sensibilities, makes it a particular object of experience that the fragility of watercolor attempts to capture and express. Colors, the movement of the brush, sensations, and a new work begins. To be seen again and again.
