The Conservatoire brings the Printemps de la Musique Ancienne to life from March 11 to 28. Master classes, lectures and concerts take place at the Conservatoire, the Temple (rue Serviez) and Trinity Church (rue Bargoin), depending on the dates.
You'll discover Baroque music from several angles: on March 11, from 2pm, La Ruche opens the doors of the Conservatoire with a multi-instrumental tour. On March 25 at 6pm and 8pm, two concerts with commentary by students explore the "Grand Siècle" (court arias, excerpts from Lully?s Armide). The high point comes on Saturday, March 28 at 8pm at Trinity Church, with Conrad Steinmann's "Passé et présent" concert (flutes, flageolet). A major figure on the recorder, he links traditional music with pages from the XVII? and XVIII? centuries (van Eyck, Telemann?). Prior to this, the day features a master class at 3pm and a lecture at 4:30pm in the rue
