Conrad Steinmann, an internationally renowned Swiss flutist, studied recorder with Hans-Martin Linde at the Schola Cantorum Basiliensis. Winner of the first Bruges International Recorder Competition in 1972, he taught at the Zurich Academy of Music (1975-1982) before being appointed professor at the Basel Schola Cantorum
