A key figure in French jazz, André Ceccarelli, aka 'Dédé', gives an exceptional master class to students of the
Conservatoire. A virtuoso drummer with an international career, he made his debut at the age of 16 with the group Les chats sauvages
with some of the biggest names in jazz and pop, including Claude François, Dee Dee Bridgewater and Chick Corea. A studio musician
he has also made his mark on the jazz scene with groups such as Troc and Trio Sud.
Winner of several Victoires du Jazz awards, in 1998 he received the SACEM Grand Prix du Jazz for his entire career.
This master class is part of his visit to Pau, where he will perform on April 27 and 28 at the Foirail as drummer in the quintet of Italian saxophonist Stefano
