Conducted by the talented Gaëtan Kuchta, the Stretto string orchestra brings together professional musicians, teachers and top students from the Conservatoire around an ambitious
artistic project. Violins, violas, cellos and double basses join forces to explore a richly contrasting European repertoire, combining classical and contemporary works by Felix Mendelssohn, Béla Bartók, Nino Rota, Isaac Albéniz, Gustav Holst and Jean Sibelius. This program, both demanding and accessible, is enriched by the presence of harp soloist Annabelle Jarre, in Claude Debussy?s Les Deux danses (Danse sacrée et Danse profane), an emblematic piece in the repertoire for harp and strings.
