Gourmet Passes Taste the flavours of Pau

Discover Palais gastronomy

Gourmet friends, we’ve thought of you with our Pass Gourmands. Whether you’re a lover of savoury or sweet, or all of the above, you’ll be able to sample the very best that Pau’s gastronomy has to offer, while discovering the city, its art de vivre and its conviviality. Our craftsmen and merchants will be delighted to welcome you and help you discover the flavours of their local, short-circuit products. It’s sure to make your mouth water!

Gourmands and gourmets Your key

Pau is a paradise for gourmets and gourmands. That’s why we’ve partnered with local artisans to create Pass Gourmands, just for you:

  • Petite faim: 5 tastings (€8)
  • Grande faim: 10 tastings (€15)

A gastronomic stroll through Pau! You’ll taste local products, produced in a short circuit by artisans and shopkeepers who like to share the best of Pau. No big meals, just little treats here and there to keep you coming back for more!

Licking your lips in Pau Taste exploration

The hardest part: choosing from among the 25 artisans and shopkeepers involved! A coffee from Pau’s Café, the coffee roaster, or a naughty treat from Francis Miot, a slice of Amandine’s Ossau Iraty cheese from the crèmerie d’Ossau or a cookie from Mort qui tue?

This gustatory stroll will take you from the shopping streets to the stalls of Les Halles. It’s an original way to discover Pau and meet people who are passionate about what they do. They’ll tell you more about their products, their stories and their terroir than anyone else. You’ll leave enriched and weighted down with a few souvenirs to enjoy at home and some great addresses to pass on!

Wines

Wine lovers, we’ve got you covered too. Our wine merchant, who loves good “quilles”, is offering you a snack in the style of the stallholders at Les Halles, but with a wine merchant twist!

This scout for the best estates will tell you all about his wines and let you taste 3 from his selection. The glass of your choice will accompany your tapas-style meal.

Your choice of sweet or dry Jurançons, Madirans…

“I take a pass every year, when I come to Pau to attend conventions . A “clever” way to explore the city that has the advantage of letting you discover local life, as well as new people.”

Odile, conventioneer (Source article in Sud-Ouest newspaper – August 2023)
