For over 14 years, Kalakan has been bringing listeners and musicians together around music and the sensations it offers. Proud and respectful of the past, yet resolutely focused on the future, these Basque artists are committed to bringing the modernity of their thousand-year-old culture into the present. The duo offer a repertoire of songs from the 15th century to the present day, accompanied by their own compositions. They use their voices and their drums, all those esoteric-sounding traditional instruments that have been contemporary for centuries: txalaparta, txirula, txistu, ttunttun, alboka, xilintx.
