In this contemporary retelling, Sleeping Beauty is freed from the fairy-tale artifice and stereotypes of a frozen tale. It plunges into a phantasmagorical universe, on the border of dreams, light and shadow, as a tribute to Tim Burton?s imagination.
Here, they are all sleeping beauties. And we are all princes, bearers of stories, wounds and metamorphoses.
It's no longer a question of waiting for a kiss to exist. It's about getting through the wait, living in suspended time, waking up to yourself. By oneself.
The body becomes language. Every breath, every tension, every silence traces an inner journey. Gestures tell what words fail to say. Each body becomes a dream in motion, the reflection of a world in the throes of
changing. As for the stage, it's a land of a thousand possibilities.
